Day 6: A Disciple’s Joy

Word:

Like water fills and overflows the fountain, Jeus wants to fill and overflow His disciples with joy. This is not a joy that is dependent on circumstances, but one that flows from our communion with Jesus.

John 15.9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

John 17.13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.”

Jesus, thank You that You are filled with joy! And You want to share that joy with me, that my joy might be complete! I receive and walk in Your joy today!
