Day 35: A Disciplemaker’s Joy

Word:

Making disciples is challenging, but it is a Kingdom investment that is both marked by and fueled by deep, genuine joy. When we invest in the lives of others, we experience the same joy that filled the hearts of Paul, John, and even Jesus Himself as they watched people grow in faith.

Scriptures For Today:

As you read today's Scriptures, read slowly and attentively, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you as you meditate on His Word.

1 Thessalonians 3.9 How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?

Philippians 4.1Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

3 John 1.4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Luke 10.21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.’

Worship:

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for the joy that comes through making disciples! What a privilege You have given me to invest in others!

Listen & Obey:

Spend two minutes in silent, listening prayer. Write down what you sense the Holy Spirit speaking to you.

Here are some prompts to assist you:

Lord, what do You want to speak to me from these passages of Scripture as I start my day?

How do You want me to apply this truth today?

Who do I need to share this with today?
